Allah Conned By A Jewish Porky

Muhammad couldn't get the Jews of Medina to accept him as God's all-time greatest prophet probably because he was an ignorant blowhard and they wouldn't stop hassling him with questions and arguments. This was a serious mistake because Allah hates people who ask too many questions (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 24, Number 555) and Allah does terrible, unimaginable things to people He hates.

To show Muhammad for a stooge and a bullshitter these Jews told Muhammad a porky: that their ancestors had told Moses they wouldn't obey God's commandments. Mind you, there were an awful lot of rules and regulations as well as the 10 commandments but no-one would openly flout God nearly to his face. The Bible actually says:

Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it in the hearing of the people. And they said, "All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient." - Exodus (24:7)

If Allah is God then He is omniscient but maybe He's a bit forgetful. Later on "Allah" gave this "revelation" to Muhammad talking about the Old Testament times when he called himself Yahweh. Of course, Muhammad was just repeating the porky they'd told him to test him. Of course, he failed the test and "revealed":

And remember We took your covenant and We raised above you (the towering height) of Mount (Sinai): (Saying): "Hold firmly to what We have given you, and hearken (to the Law)": They said: "We hear, and we disobey:" - Quran (2:93)

Whoops, the Quran is wrong again. Muhammad was not too happy when he found out he'd been conned and Allah cursed the Jews for making fun of his main man who came up with a new revelation that he thought would fix this embarassment.

Some of the Jews pervert words from their meanings saying, "We have heard and we disobey" and "Hear, and be thou not given to hear" and "Observe us," twisting with their tongues and traducing religion. If they had said, "We have heard and obey" and "Hear" and "Regard us," it would have been better for them, and more upright; but God has cursed them for their unbelief so they believe not except a few. - Quran (4:46)

Allah was quite right too. It would have been better for those smart-arsed Jews if they hadn't made a fool of Muhammad because he had his revenge, having many of those uppity Jews' heads cut off. Who was laughing then? And that was just the beginning of centuries of persecution and oppression. There are virtually no Jews left living in the Muslim countries of the Middle East and North Africa. Isn't that proof that Islam is the only true religion?

We don't need this quirky little story about Muhammad to know that the idea that the Quran is written by God is laughable but it's indicative of the sort of man Muhammad was. Not too smart but really mean.
